Apple iPod touch 32 GB

Get Microsoft Silverlight

Most are going gaga over Apple and its other products. And one of the famous products of this brand is the Apple iPod touch 32 GB. With its sizable memory, you will be able to store thousands of songs and more other forms of data in this device.

The first thing that will catch your attention with the Apple iPod touch 32 GB is its appearance. The sleek slim design and the 960×640 display make it an attractive option for most buyers. The retina display delivers a smooth look in the screen of the device. The resolution is one of the highest in its line of technologies. Even the individual pixels are indiscernible.

And more than just the appearance, you will experience precise and fast operations. Multitask all you want and still have a fully running device. The A4 processor makes these possible. If you are using your iPod for motion sensor games, you can benefit from its advancement in this area. The increased motion sensor capabilities make it a more efficient device that will get you to the finish line as a winner.

If you are picture addict, the Apple iPod touch 32 GB can have a solution to this. With the double cameras available, you will be able to shoot great videos with the back camera and be able to talk in front of the camera at the front of the device. Take note that video recording is made in high definition.

One thing that might be stopping most from getting this item is the price. Maybe, once you have heard all of its features, you will change your mind and buy one, no matter what the price is.

Your Questions About Dating Advice For Women From Men Answered

dating advice

David asks…

Is “just have sex with him” really bad dating advice for women (from men)?

Another poster stated this in a condescending way, but really isn’t it pretty straightforward and honest?

Several women agreed with this assessment, but doesn’t this further suggest that women really do like to make things more complicated then they already are? Jenna – for the record, I am a woman and I’m insulted that you suggest otherwise…..I guess just b/c a woman doesn’t agree with you, she is manly, right? Kelley- I don’t understand….you are suggesting the woman was right to vandalize his truck since the relationship didn’t go as she liked? Queen Bee – clearly, I am “Smart Tracey” as you say.

dating advice

admin answers:

I have to agree with what Rico said. In my experience women don’t generally take into consideration the thoughts and feelings of men in relationships. It’s all about what women want and what women feel.

dating advice

James asks…

I need advice from men and women; Dating people who have children?

OK, I will try to make this LONG story short.

When I was 18/19 I dated a guy who was 23/24 we were together as boyfriend and girlfriend. When I met him he had a 1 yr old baby. Anyways, after about a year of dating each other. He broke it off with me to go back with the child’s mother (by this time the child was around 2 years old). Anyways, he went back to her, moved in with her, and they did their whole family thing.

He and I still maintained a friendship for about the first year of their getting back together, which lead to an EMOTIONAL AFFAIR. We we’re both VERY MUCH IN LOVE with each other (he and I have NEVER actually had Sex, not even when we were dating each other because I was still a virgin back then). Well, this Emotional Affair lead to many problems in his current relationship with his child’s mother. Eventually, we both dissolved the friendship between us. (She hates me with a passion)

Anyways, 4 years have gone by and we have not had any contact with each other in 4 years! We have recently reunited with one another. I’m now 25 and he is 28 years old and he is no longer with the child’s mother
(I don’t know if it important to add this info, but they were never actually married and their outcome of being together was more than likely due to the teen pregnancy when she was 17. The baby which is now 7 years old)

I guess my question is, what should I expect from our reuniting? Should I hold any resentment towards him for basically dumping me back in the day? Or should I let bygones be bygones and see where this goes?

I have received mixed advice from people in my inner circle. Some frown down upon him for dumping me to go back to the child’s mother. Others say that he did the “right” thing by trying to provide a family unit for his child and putting aside his wants?

What is your take on this? I need advice from mature people who have been through similar experiences. I have to add that he is a great person of character (even with my dating around for 4 years I have yet to meet a guy of his character). My question really is NOT about dating him because he has a child. My question is more about, should I give him a second chance?

dating advice

admin answers:

Either date him or don’t. He is who he is and today is not yesterday.

Mary asks…

Advice from woman dating younger men?

I recently met this guy who is 18 (I’m 23) and even I’m surprised by the attraction I feel. We seem to click pretty well. He gives me butterflies in my stomach, I get all tongue tied around him but at the same time I feel like I can be my dorky self around him. We had a serious moment after our first kiss and he told me he’s having difficulty with the age gap and I actually considered talking more to him about it but the next day his affection was stronger. I noticed he does get sensitive when I talk about our friends who are sometimes in his age group. I feel like even though this is new and we are just starting out we might have a chance at something but I’ve always dated guys older than I am. Some even by ten years. What is your advice for a woman dating a man younger than she is?

dating advice

admin answers:

Best advice – age ain’t nothing but a number. If you work, you work. Why should you sit around talking about your age with your friends? It’s frankly nobody’s business!

He’s more attracted to you because the more time that passes, the more he’s realizing the age gap isn’t a factor. 5 years is NOTHING! There are people who have 50 years gap between them but they are attracted to each other and nothing else matters. Just go with the flow is my advice, and stop worrying. If the age gap becomes such a problem for him he’s probably not mature enough to be in an adult relationship anyway.

dating advice

Donald asks…

I really need some ADULT advice about dating younger men, from older women if possible.

I know I already asked this question but I think mostly inexperienced teens answered me. I need some dating tips, what should I expect from a younger guy who is in his early 20′s? What should I not do? What is the downside to this type of relationship? Do I have to wait for him to mature, or can I mold him? If you’ve dated or married a younger guy, please advise.

dating advice

admin answers:

If you marry a younger guy than you are he will want to play more. Most guys in their early 20′s are still into things like video games and it isn’t something you can just break them of over night. Don’t talk about marriage and kids because it will send him running for the hills. Play it cool. And whatever you do, don’t start acting too bossy or nag him. If you are much older than he is, all he will see is that you are trying to be his mother. Dating a younger guy and even marrying a younger guy can be wonderful. They aren’t whipped by the responsibilities of the world so they are more care-free and they can add more spice to your life. Just remember that while an older woman dating a younger man can put you into a different category with your friends, it can do the same for him. Be prepared. If there are quite a few years between the two of you, don’t be surprised if his own peer group have some snarky comments about you dating. From somewhat nice (hey, it’s Stiffler’s Mom) to calling you a cougar. If you don’t know these references, Stiffler was a character in the movie American Pie and one of his friends got the privilege of sleeping with his mom. A cougar is a slang term to describe a 35+ year old female who is on the “hunt” for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male. If this does happen, just chalk it up to the fact that they are threatened by you and have fun. Be mindful that many men, regardless of age, are out to have fun but not necessarily in for a relationship. Make sure you establish what you are after first. If all you want is a man that can go all night, you will find some one out there eager to prove they can. If you want the relationship thing, it can get a little tougher. Most men in this age group are not looking for the domestic bliss relationship. Sowing their wild oats and making memories is for them. If you are lucky you will find a 22-23 year old and have a few good years of fun and then he will mature into the guy who is ready to marry. Good luck and remember that the best way to approach any relationship is to think about the person first, age second. Have fun.

dating advice

Robert asks…

Need some advice from men and women about online dating!

To forgive or not to forgive? I have a online chat mate. We like each other. We had our instant connection. Then, one day, I didn’t know what’s on her mind. She tricked me! Her friend pretended that she was somebody. But, she admitted it. She tested me to see how honest I am with her. She got upset when I talked to her friend online. Of course, I am so mad, too, because its not fair to test somebody like that! I have decided to stay away from her for awhile. She keeps on calling me saying that she is sorry.  She is sending emails apologizing, but I don’t talk to her yet. Should I forgive her give another chance? Or, forget about her?

dating advice

admin answers:

If she tested you once she will do it again. Women need to test men to see if the men that they are interested in are for real and  if these men can handle difficult situations as they arise. If you enter a serious relationship with this woman there will never be and end to her testing, but this is what you will get with nearly every woman that is worth having.

dating advice

Jenny asks…

Can men truly get good advice from women about dating?

Since women often would like to portray one image and actually live another? The famous example of course being womens’ tendencies to say they want a nice guy then go for the bad boys.

dating advice

admin answers:

About the only thing that a guy gets out of advice from most women is an understanding of just how dishonest women are. It is not that they are intentionally lying to you but they do not really know themselves what is is that they truly want! They will tell you what they think that they should want and not what it is that they really respond to. If you want good advice from a woman then you will need to find one that is properly traine dto give dating advice to men. Marni Kynris (Wing Girls) is one of them.

Your Questions About Healthnet Answered

Healthnet

Carol asks…

Can a Healthnet insurance bought in California be used in the Philippines during emergency cases?

My Aunt is from California and she’s vacationing in the Philippines. Due to severe allergy attack, she was rushed to the emergency room in one of the hospitals here in the Philippines. Her health insurance provider is Healthnet. The hospital here said they don’t accept Healthnet cards. What can she do ? What other options does she have? If the hospitals here can refuse to accept Healthnet cards, can she just pay the bill and have it reimbursed later by Healthnet when she gets home?

Healthnet

admin answers:

Some health providers allow the reimbursement of health expenses incurred in a foreign country. Ask your aunt to keep all the receipts she had.

Your aunt should have first called her insurance provider to check if expenses incurred in a foreign country are covered. Some health insurance companies such as Great West have numbers in foreign countries that you can call for assistance in the event you need your health insurance.

Maybe you can call the health insurance company of your aunt and inquire on the procedure. Then relay the information to your aunt

Healthnet

Donna asks…

What do you do when Healthnet Insurance tells the hospital to bill you and it’s over what you are responsible for?

I’ve paid the deductible and the out of pocket maximum, and still they tell the hospital it’s OK to bill me. What do you do? Is there a medical insurance reporting agency in California that I can report them to?

I’m so tired of being overcharged for medical expenses, don’t they even care about their service, is it all about money?

Healthnet

admin answers:

If you paid your deductible, and your percentage…. And the insurance company paid their part…. What’s left? Are they billing you for the amount that should be discounted?

Did you pay the entire deductible and out of pocket amount to the hospital? If not, who did you pay it to? If you paid your deductible to a doctor, you may be due a refund from that doctor.

How much is the difference? I need more information. The balance you are being billed is coming from somewhere. It’s either your responsibility, the insurance company’s, or the hospital’s discount. Speak to a supervisor at the insurance company. They should be able to speak with the hospital if needed, to find out where the balance is.

If your insurance is not self-funded, you can file a complaint with the California department of insurance. Ultimately, if the claim is processed correctly, that won’t help all that much. Look at your insurance EOBs. Does the amount listed as your responsibility match the amount the hospital is billing you?

Healthnet

William asks…

Healthnet letter warning people that identity could have been stolen.

Yesterday I got a letter saying I should subscribe to Debix for free for identity protection. Any one else got this letter and what did you do?

Healthnet

admin answers:

Yes, I got it. I did not use the Debix credit monitoring service. I DO have credit freezes on my record at all three bureaus and check one credit report every four months.

Healthnet

Ken asks…

How does one choose one of the following HMOs: Amerigroup,Americhoice, Healthnet, Horizon BC/BS, United Health Plan?

Is one HMO better than another? Does one have to look at the details of each plan? Or does one just have to choose based on the providers in the network that are local?

Healthnet

admin answers:

The issue is that each person is different, has a different family, and has different health. To say nothing of your personality and your finances.

You really do need to read each of the plan materials carefully, see how much the copays are, compare the offerings with your health record, and make the decision. Also check on the Internet about how each of the plans has been rated by its users. Sure, every plan receives a certain number of complaints, but if you keep hearing the same thing about one or another, you might want to strike that one from your list.

Bottom line: you need to do some homework.

Healthnet

Betty asks…

Chiropractor didn’t submit bills to Healthnet after my car accident and now wants me to pay him 100% of bill from settlement!

After my car accident my chiropractor did not submit any claims for reimbursement from Healthnet which is my insurance. They would only pay him 40 cents on the dollar. Now that I have a small settlement, he wants me to pay him 100% of the bills that he never sent to Healthnet. Is this legal?
Thanks for any advice.

Healthnet

admin answers:

The insurance company is responsible for your chiropractor payments. He should take it up with them.

Healthnet

Lizzie asks…

Blue Shield or Healthnet health insurance, which one is better?

I found two almost identical health insurance plans so I’m choosing between Blue Shield PPO and Healthnet PPO plan. Could someone tell me which one is better and why? Thanks so much!

Healthnet

admin answers:

I had Blue Cross Blue Shield and they used to be a good company. Now, they deny every claim I make claiming pre existing condition. I don’t know much about Healthnet. I personally thing Blue Cross is a joke. They charged me through my job 8543.00 for 3 months of insurance and then canceled my insurance after 13 days and did NOT reimburse my money to me. The money was already paid in for insurance….there was a 90 day waiting period and I worked on that federal job 103 days …..which meant I was covered for 13 days of insurance for eight thousand five hundred forty three dollars and thirty one cents.

Healthnet

Jenny asks…

I currently have Healthnet medicare advantage insurance. How will the new healthcare bill affect me?

Healthnet

admin answers:

The Medicare advantage plans will be a thing of the past. I just heard it on the news today.

Your Questions About Used Golf Clubs Answered

used golf clubs

William asks…

Where can I buy a decent set of used Golf clubs for a good price?

Just started playing golf, and don’t want to spend a lot of money on clubs. I am just looking to see where I can find a good used set.

used golf clubs

admin answers:

Try eBay or a sporting good store that sells used equipment.

used golf clubs

Richard asks…

My family has a set of wooden golf clubs used by Ben Hogan. Any idea of the value?

My grandfather just gave my mom a set of wooden golf clubs he said were used by the golfing great Ben Hogan. He also cut out the articles in the paper showing when Mr.Hogan died in 1997. Are these clubs something valuable that we should keep as heirlooms?

used golf clubs

admin answers:

First, you’d need to have authentication that Hogan owned and actually USED these clubs (more than word of mouth). If he used them in tournament play, especially a major, they could be worth something. To validate them, you could try a collector or someone that specializes in sport memorabilia.

used golf clubs

Linda asks…

What’s a good place to buy used golf clubs in Austin, Texas?

I am buying golf clubs for the first time and was hoping that someone could recommend a few places where I could find good deals on used golf clubs. It would also be great if I could go someplace where a professional could help me decide which type of clubs are best for me. I live in Austin, Texas.

used golf clubs

admin answers:

I realize you are asking about places in Austin but you simply cannot beat eBay for golf club prices. That would be my first choice. If you are a beginner golfer, used clubs are probably your best bet. Don’t waste you money going to a pro shop and having the golf pro set you up with a $1,000.00 set of clubs.

used golf clubs

Paul asks…

Where to Get the Value of Used Golf Clubs?

In addition to Golfonline, are there other websites that value used clubs either at retail or trade-in values? I donated some clubs to a high school and need to value them for tax purposes.

Thanks for the help

admin answers:

Golfsmith has a pretty useful chart that shows the Trade In value of clubs.

Charles asks…

Where is the best place to buy used golf clubs?

I am looking to upgrade my clubs but I can’t afford a new set. Where is the best place to buy some name brand used clubs?

Try buying golf clubs on Amazon.

used golf clubs

Robert asks…

What is a good price to pay for a used set of golf clubs?

Well, I started working at a golf course a few weeks ago but don’t golf and all of my co-workers do . Our golf instructor offered to sell me a set of used clubs, but I’m not sure they were a good deal at the price he offered.
What would a good set of used clubs usually cost?

used golf clubs

admin answers:

If you’re a beginner, I wouldn’t spend more than $200 for the entire set (irons, woods, and bag). There’s plenty of used stuff out there to choose from. It’s impossible to tell you if the deal you are getting is good without knowing what the clubs are, though. A set of used clubs could be worth anywhere from $10 to $1,000.

George asks…

What golf clubs are used in the driving range?

Hi there. I am new to golfing & going to the driving range. I have a putter for my short game & a lob wedge for chipping. But, can I use a 3 iron in the drive range? If so, what other clubs besides the driver can I use?

used golf clubs

admin answers:

You can use any or all of your clubs at the range, except the putter. If they have a practice putting green then you can use your putter as well. The driving range should be used for practicing all of your clubs, driver through wedge. It helps you to understand the yardage that you hit each of your clubs and helps to identify swinging flaws with any of your clubs.

Your Questions About WordPress Plugins Gallery Answered

Mary asks…

What video gallery plugins do you use for your site?

Guide me on how to find the best video playing gallery on my site using WordPress. Thanks

admin answers:

Tubepress is hard to beat. It uses YouTube and Vimeo videos and hasn’t failed me yet. See some of the TV channels at Well.org

http://well.org/live-well/adventure-tourism/

On the Tubepress site you can see the shortcodes (simple sets of code you put into the HTML tab of WordPress) for each of the features by clicking on the left-side features:

http://tubepress.org/showcase/

Richard asks…

Enlarging thumbnail with a Flash style, similar to CMS plugins?

Hi

I have been using WordPress for some time now and love the thumbnail gallery type plugins that are available. It is possible to create something similar in a general non CMS website, not using Flash itself? I can do the basic type with JavaScript or html but I want to jazz it up a little.

Example of thumbnail:

http://www.scorpionbabyentertainment.com/

Scroll to the bottom.

Thanks you for your time.

Ash
Crikey that’s a first no one knows ?

admin answers:

Yes. This is done using Ajax (a type of advanced JavaScript in a couple of words).

The element effect is called “Lightbox”. Search for “Ajax Lightbox” or “Lightbox XHTML” in Google. There are loads of free scripts out there for you.

Donna asks…

How do I get images to display correctly on my WordPress blog?

I bought a theme that displays large images on the top of the screen of the most recent posts.

When I installed it I get this code where my images should be.
Warning: include(/home/username/public_html//wp-content/plugins/content-gallery/gallery.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/username/public_html/wp-content/themes/lifestyle_10/home.php on line 13

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘/home/username/public_html//wp-content/plugins/content-gallery/gallery.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/username/public_html/wp-content/themes/lifestyle_10/home.php on line 13

help

admin answers:

I believe he stated he BOUGHT the theme so getting another theme isn’t a valid solution by any means! It is either an includes error or the files it is trying to display are not in the place it is looking for them.
Check that all the images are actually uploaded to the folders on your server and that they have the correct path displayed in the error statement. Also open up the file and look at the line it is reporting the error (line 13)
It may be a problem with the version of wordpress you are using and the theme’s design. I’d submit an email or ticket from the theme’s author to tell you what the problem is as he knows the code.

Joseph asks…

Do I fully have to use WordPress?

Due to my studying I am creating a website from scratch using HTML and CSS. But I want to be able to update it regularly by using CMS, after researching I have decided to use WordPress, but I don’t want the site to be fully WordPress since I read you can’t edit the templates HTML and CSS and I would like full design control since I’m creating the website myself. So is there a way round this? Maybe to just use their plugins such as galleries and the news posting abilities etc.

(It is more updating the news sections, galleries/images and certain links that I would want to be managed by WordPress to make things easier to update. Any suggestions please ) :-)

admin answers:

WordPress:

If you have paid hosting, you already have WordPress ready to install. You have to log into your account and use the Control Panel (cPanel) to install it. Then you use the Dashboard to edit. If you have a free web site, you need to check if you are allowed to use PHP and a database as these will be needed for a true blog app like WordPress.

Daniel asks…

WordPress blog to function as CMS?

I need a WordPress blog, to function as CMS.

The blog should have widgets and plugins ready to use, such as photo gallery, video, newsletter box, and etc.

The layout should be in top banner with top navigation and 3 columns for content – left, middle and right. The middle portion is where the content will go.

On the left I want to put links. However I want the links to change depending on where you click on the top. In other words if you click on home, you will see A, B and C links on the left, if you click on Services, you will see D, E, and F links on the left and etc.

On the right side I want to have a login box , banner ads, and AdSense. Please, let me know where can I find a theme that has all these features?

admin answers:

You aren’t going to find a theme that has these features. You can, however, create a theme of your own easily if you know CSS and can play with JavaScript a little (you will need this for onClick changes to your menus).

Take a look here for some instructions on creating a theme http://jonathanwold.com/tutorials/wordpress_theme/

Once you are up and running, you can find plugins for your photo gallery etc. Or, you can outsource it on a site such elance.com.

Laura asks…

Can I do this with WordPress?

I’m new to WordPress, but just finished my first site using the Freshify theme (for some reason my contact form doesn’t work that came with it).

Anyways, there are still some things I would like to do to it, and would like to know if it’s even possible, and if so, what plugins, etc do I need?

My site is for my clothing line I have run for 5 years now. I would like to add a page where people could fill out sort of an application to become a brand ambassador. I would like a widget, where someone can upload a picture to a gallery of them wearing the apparel (without registering. I’m not sure how the whole registering to site thing works).

Any ideas and info is appreciated.

admin answers:

For the contact form: Download “Contact Form 7 Plugin”

Also, it’s always easier just starting with a theme that’s built with everything you want. Try the link in my source. You can get over 60 WordPress Themes for only $39. That’s like $1.50 per theme!

Linda asks…

Can’t figure out how to put multiple thumbnails on webpage with hyperlinks?

I’m running a website with WordPress and cpanel. I have a page that I need to put multiple thumbnails on, each with a link to another page on my site. I can only find photo gallery plugins where I can’t add links to photos.

Does anyone have any bright ideas? As I said I’m running WordPress, and I’m using a theme I created myself so I can’t use widgets – just plugins. At the moment I can’t put more than one picture on a line – whereas I need probably 3-5 on each line, each with an individual link. Help!

Thanks to the person that answered below – I’m guess that html would work if I actually had a clue what I’m doing….. but I don’t. The linking isn’t so much the problem – it’s getting 3-5 pictures in a line. The page I’m doing is www.rev3.co.nz/shop – and if you check there is only one pic on the left, and one on the right. I can’t get them to line up or get any in the middle. And being that I’m actually not very tech savvy, a dummy proof answer would help! Thanks again!

Your Questions About Blu Ray Players Playing DVDs Answered

Blu Ray players

Donna asks…

Can you play normal DVDs on Blu Ray players?

I was thinking of getting a Blu Ray player some point in the future and I was wondering if they can play normal DVDs as well as Blu-Ray DVDs or do they just take Blu-Ray DVDs?

Blu Ray players

admin answers:

As others have (correctly) replied, all Blu-Ray players will play Blu-Ray disks and DVDs. Most will play CDs and may play certain other types of disks (DivX, SACD) and file formats (e.g. JPEG images, MP3 audio) but you have to check the specific player specs.

What others DIDN’T say is that Blu-Ray players not only play DVDs, they up convert the DVD to pseudo high definition (as long as you connect to an HD display (e.g. HD projector or HDTV) using an HDMI or component cable. While never as good as Blu-Ray (you can’t put in detail that isn’t in the original DVD), up converted DVD CAN look pretty darn good.

Note that Blu-Ray disks look essentially identical on all Blu-Ray players, but DVD image quality varies with the quality/sophistication on the video processor chip.

Blu Ray players

Helen asks…

What are them Blu Ray DVD players like?

I’m thinking about getting a Blu-Ray DVD player next month. What are they like? Can you play normal DVD discs on them? Is there any website to show you what the pic is like on a Blu Ray player? Are they worth having?
Also, do I need a HD TV for the Blu Ray DVD player too work?

Blu Ray players

admin answers:

Blu Ray disc players will work on a regular TV and it will play regular DVDs. Blu Ray players like the PS3, up scales standard DVDs (which runs on 480 interlace, the number of lines of resolution) to an equivalent 1080 interlace, thereby improving the video image quality a bit. To see the advantage of Blu Ray discs incredible video image, you need to have an HDTV. Video image and sound are only as good as the weakest link. Even if you have a Blu Ray player and Blu Ray disk playing, if you play it on a regular TV, the quality will be no better than standard DVD. If you have an HDTV, and you play a standard DVD and Blu Ray player, it will be slightly better than if you are running it on regular DVD player.

My suggestion is to research and get an HDTV before you invest in a Blu Ray player, because that is the first requirement in getting an HD image. After that, get your Blu Ray player and you can rent/buy Blu Ray disks.

Robert asks…

Do Blu-Ray Players play regular DVDs?

I’m planning to set up a Home Theater soon with a giant wide screen HD TV with a Panasonic Blu-Ray player, but I don’t have many (none actually) Blu-Ray DVDs, so I need to know if Blu-Ray players will play regular DVDs.

Blu Ray players

admin answers:

Yes. They will even upscale to a higher resolution so they look better on a flat-screen TV.

Blu Ray players

Maria asks…

Do Blu-Ray DVD Players play regular DVDs?

I need a new DVD player and I was wondering if those Blu-Ray players play non Blu-Ray DVDs.

Blu Ray players

admin answers:

Yes they do. Also when you play regular DVDs they upscale them to 1080p. So in a sense you don’t have to go about replacing all your old DVDs with Blu-Ray’s

Blu Ray players

Richard asks…

What is the Blu-Ray DVD player like & can you play normal DVDs on them?

Blu Ray players

admin answers:

If you are not a gamer don’t waste your money on a PS3 first of all. Second you will need a TV capable of 1080i to get your moneys worth for the price of the player and the 25 to 30 dollars for each Blu-Ray disc. You will also need to
invest some money on a surround sound system for the incredible audio they put out. Make sure you buy a player that supports at least 5.1 Dolby Digital on non Blu-Ray discs. I have a PS3 an it only plays regular DVDs in lame stereo. If this all sounds like gibberish to you go to Best Buy and talk to somebody from the Geek Squad or a high end audio store like Listen Up or Ultimate Electronics. Believe me if you have the funds to go this way you will have a hard time ungluing yourself from the TV.The audio and video are INCREDIBLE!! Good Luck and enjoy if you do!

Blu Ray players

Mary asks…

What are Blu-Rays? Can you play DVDs on Blu-Ray players?

I have researched a bit and found out you have to have a converter to play DVDs on Blu-Ray players. Is this right? What is the answer? Two players?

Blu Ray players

admin answers:

You don’t need a converter (whatever that would be).

All Blu-Ray players will play DVDs (and up convert the DVD video to pseudo HD) as well as Blu-Ray disks (and in most cases, CDs). Blu-Ray disks give true 1080p video (and have advanced HD audio soundtracks too), while DVD is 480p. Blu-Ray also has a wider color range than DVD. However, Blu-Ray disks can’t be played on DVD players, and cost more than DVDs.

In essence, Blu-Ray is a premium priced, alternative to DVD.

Your Questions About Golf Clubs For Tall Men and Women Answered

Golf Clubs For Tall

Linda asks…

Should I buy a men’s or women’s complete set of golf clubs for my tall girlfriend?

I have a six foot tall girlfriend who wants to start playing golf, and I’d like to buy her a complete set of clubs. Because she is so tall, I was wondering if I should get a men‘s or women’s set. Thank you my golfing friends!

Golf Clubs For Tall

admin answers:

Dooley is correct; just because your GF is six-foot tall does not change her basic strength profile. Unless she is extremely athletic, she needs women’s flex shafts, even if it may be necessary to have the clubs custom made for length. Women generally have less upper body strength than similarly-sized men and require the whippier shafts to obtain distance and club speed. Getting her a men’s regular flex from which she cannot get maximum torque will actually reduce how far she can hit the ball.

As a beginner, she needs to develop a smooth, rhythmic swing and she will most likely swing more slowly than she will later as she gains more confidence and consistency. At slower swing speeds, it is doubtful she would be able to get much flex from a men’s shaft.

If you do decide to go with men’s clubs for the added length, I suggest looking into getting them with Senior Flex for all of the reasons discussed above. Senior flex is closer to women’s flex and are whippier than men’s regular, so that might be a compromise solution.

Men ranging from 5’6″ to 6’4″ typically use the same length shafts, so there is no reason a woman 6’0″ cannot use the same clubs as a woman 5’4″. The longer swing arc she will be able to make should cause her to hit the ball farther, but there is no reason to use special clubs.

Sandra asks…

Tall Lady – should I buy Men’s or Ladies Golf Clubs?

I’ve played golf on and off for about 15 years. The last set of golf clubs I had were a junior set from when I was about 14. At 28, am seriously going to get back into it but now at a lofty 5’11” I’m at a loss at to which golf clubs to buy? Men‘s or ladies? My initial reaction due to my height is to buy men‘s clubs but I’m not sure if that is right – Any advice anyone?

(Not looking to spend a fortune, just enough to have a set of clubs to use at the weekend/driving range).

Golf Clubs For Tall

admin answers:

Here’s the rub, if you will- the men’s clubs will have stiffer shafts because men (typically, but not always) have faster swing speeds than women (for those reading take a moment and make your funny joke…go ahead). Plus, the grips are typically made for a man’s hand (and men ‘typically’ have bigger hands than women).

What you ‘may’ want to look at which could be a good option would be “Senior” flex shafts (since Seniors typically have slower swing speeds than a regular ‘R’ flex used by most men); then you’d just need to have the clubs re gripped to fit your hands (usually they’d use less tape, any pro/repair shop should be able to help you with this).

I’m not a certified PGA Professional, but a suggestion would be to look at a Senior flex shaft in graphite as a possible option that won’t kill you financially.

Hope you find what you’re looking for!

Nancy asks…

Golf clubs for a tall lady?

I want to get set of golf clubs for my girlfriend who is around 6″ tall so I am wondering what the real difference between men and women clubs are. Is it mainly the length? Because, in that case, would she be better off with men’s clubs?

Golf Clubs For Tall

admin answers:

The main difference is that the shafts of the irons are made of graphite, which makes them lighter. Men’s irons, on the other hand, have steel shafts.

I don’t think that length should matter too much; even within a set, the difference between a wedge and a long iron is huge. But I’d bet women’s clubs are slightly shorter.

My opinion is that men’s clubs should work well for her if she has the strength and stamina to be able to use them for a full game. However, make sure she’s okay with the idea of using men’s clubs; some people just might not be comfortable with that, and how golfers feel about their clubs is important too.

Laura asks…

Can I rent golf clubs for my height?

I’m 6′ 4″ and don’t have any clubs of my own (or tall friends with clubs I can borrow). I’m going golfing in two weeks and I’m wondering if the rental shop at the golf course will have clubs for taller men?

Golf Clubs For Tall

admin answers:

It depends on the course. At most good places you can, but you may want to call ahead and check.

Golf Clubs For Tall

Sandy asks…

Are there any serious disadvantages for a woman (beginner) using men’s golf clubs?

Are there any serious disadvantages for a woman (golf beginner) using men‘s golf clubs? Advantages?

I have a friend selling his USED TaylorMade irons set (1999 model) and McGregor woods 3,5, driver for US $150, so we are tempted to buy this.

My wife is learning to play golf just because her job is in sales and sometimes needs to play with customers for good relations. However, she wants me to play with her sometimes. So, we are thinking of sharing the same set of clubs. I don’t foresee us both taking this game seriously enough to play it regularly enough.

We know that the shaft of men‘s clubs is longer than women’s clubs. My wife is 5’3″ tall, 160 lbs. Will it severely negatively affect her golf game if she uses the TaylorMade men‘s clubs? Will she still be able to play decent golf?

The McGregor men‘s driver that comes with it is at 9 or 10 degrees. Will she be able to handle this?

Our other option is to buy a brand new LADIES golf set (Slazenger brand) for US $250.

Thanks.
If we buy the men‘s golf set for her, can she still switch to a ladies golf set later on with serious problems?

Golf Clubs For Tall

admin answers:

As a former golf professional, instructor and club fitter, I can assure you that there are many drawbacks to using a men’s set of clubs.

First of all, they are heavier than most women’s sets, which would force a female player to “pick up” the club too fast, and subsequently hit a lot of bad shots by trying to scoop the ball as a compensating factor.

The length of the club is not as important as the flex of the shaft or the club’s total weight.

The Slazenger ladies set would be a better choice than the men’s set, even though it would be best to be properly fitted by a qualified professional or club fitter.

The 10 degree driver would likely be useless for a woman, and particularly so since she would be a beginner. The laws of physics are pretty clear, and unless the club is moving faster than 105 MPH (Which is very fast, only top amateurs and professionals typically would exceed that), a Driver of any loft would not go as far or as straight as a 3 wood. The reason being, a the club must deliver enough force to the ball to generate the optimal launch angle and spin rate. Lofts under 13 degrees require more than 105 MPH of club head speed to do this.

For a beginner, the basic club package set like the Slazenger would be perfectly acceptable and usable, and likely more enjoyable then the men’s set. As a beginner, it is more important to have clubs that are easy enough to swing, and nice to look at (which makes confidence easier).

Wish her luck.

Joseph asks…

I need advice on choosing a complete set of golf clubs?

Are the inexpensive complete sets like the Tiger Shark, Affinity, Ram, etc., any good? Another question is, I’m 6’3″ or 6′ 3 1/2″. Do I need “tallclubs and what’s the right tall size for me? Or are the tall size just for really tall men like 6’6″ or 6’8″?

Golf Clubs For Tall

admin answers:

Henery Grifits has the best fitting system bar none. Contact them to find a Pro near you to get fitted. It will be the best investment you can make for your game. Also they are priced fairly.

Ruth asks…

What golf set to buy for a short woman?

I’m buying a golf set for a friend who is a bit short. In fact, she is 5′ tall. Is buying a woman’s golf set OK? Is adjusting to the golf set her own problem?

She uses my golf clubs and complains about the height of them and insists on getting her own woman’s set. However, when I compared the women’s clubs to the men‘s, they are only about half an inch shorter.

What should I do? Should I buy it anyway?

Golf Clubs For Tall

admin answers:

For your amateur golfer shorter clubs will improve accuracy but not distance. As a woman’s stroke power is less on average than a man’s, the longer the club shaft the greater the distance. You need to balance swing, technique, stance and other variables. But if its just for fun, why not buy the ones she likes to improve her confidence and enjoyment of the game? Take a look at the clubs that Japanese women pros (Ai Miyazato, etc.) are using. They’re short in stature but their clubs aren’t.

What are the most effective WordPress plugins to attract the most relevant traffic and maximize website sales?

I am thinking maybe:
1. RSS feed plugins,
2. Cost Per Action (CPA) plugins or code snippets,
3. Affiliate plugins and/or links

Can you provide links to the tools that you think are the best, and let me know why you think they are the best?

WordPress plugins

admin answers:

Hi there,

I have never used CPA plugins. But affiliate plugins, I use. And these plugins:
1. ALL in SEO pack.
2. Social bookmarking
3. XML Generator
4. Top Commentators

Well, I more care about long term traffics/returning visitors than quantity.

Carol asks…

What WordPress plugins can I use to make a community-based digital download website?

I currently run a WordPress site selling digital downloads which I create.

I would like to turn this site into one where users can sign up and upload their digital products to sell, and we’d both receive a cut of the sales, similar to many stock photo sites.

Any ideas on some plugins to use in order to simplify this process? They don’t have to be free, as long as what I’m paying for is worth it.

Thanks

How can I tell which WordPress plugins are secure?

What steps can I do to see if a WordPress plugin doesn’t have malicious code or call outs to some websites? I’m thinking maybe if the plugin has some binary code?. I know there’s the Theme Authenticity Checker and I’m looking for something similar for plugins. Thanks!

WordPress plugins

admin answers:

For the most part, plugins available through wordpress.org are secure, and best of all, they are tried and tested by many users. Most WordPress sites are infected by post scripting and RPC, and SQL vulnerabilities. So with that in mind, a good defense and being prepared for a hack is the best approach. There are a couple of useful plugins available to help minimize the chances of being hacked, and that allow you to recover from one if it does take place. For more info check out:

Jenny asks…

As an affiliate marketer, what is one of your favorite WordPress plugins?

Looking for information on what WordPress plugins affiliate marketers use in new installations. All responses welcome – make sure to include your own website and I’ll link to it from the article I’m writing.

WordPress plugins

admin answers:

The type of plug in really depends on what is is specifically used for. The one plug in that I cannot seem to do with out is the DeansFCKEditor for wordpress.

This one plugin updates your current WYSIWYG editor to a more advanced editor. One of which you can add source code directly into the posting. This is a great solution as it means I can add pop ups, peel away ads, video and more directly in to that posting.

It also means it will only happen on that posting and no other. This is why this is my “have to have” plug in. Originally designed as a upgrade to the WYSIWYG editor but has the function of multiply plug ins.

Also, what other plugins to use will depend in a large part on which affiliate programs you belong to. For example, there are plugins just for ClickBank and just for Amazon products.

Are you able to charge for WordPress plugins?

I have been looking at developing some WordPress plugins and I wanted to know if it is possible and within the terms of using WordPress to charge for the plugins I develop?

Loads of plugins I see are free but I wanted to know if there was a way to monetize this?

WordPress plugins

admin answers:

There are people doing so. Strictly speaking you would need to write the plugin from scratch and not base it on an existing plugin which uses the LGPL license. If you based it on an existing LGPL license then yours would have to be released under LGPL too (i.e. Free for non-commercial use)
